Afternoon tea is served from 3pm until 5pm, and we'd ask you to please book no later than the day before. We are very pleased to cater for special dietary requirements with advance notice.
Home of the Devon Cream Tea
In the 11th century, local workers restoring Tavistock Abbey on this very site were served bread with clotted cream and jam - a simple treat that soon became a tradition. Today, The Bedford proudly carries on this delicious Devonshire heritage.
