With top-notch produce available on our Devon doorstep, we are proud to present local, seasonal produce (at very appetising prices). Pop in for a morning coffee and pastry, or a traditional afternoon tea. Take a break and enjoy a relaxing lunch, or linger over an indulgent dinner with friends. Whenever and whatever you choose, you will be very welcome.

Dinner

With the finest local, seasonal ingredients at the heart of things, our main Lunch and Dinner menu offers a wide choice of tempting dishes, from British classics to innovative modern creations with influences from around the world. Informality and choice are the order of the day - relax and savour a full three course meal, or just pick a course or two to suit your mood.

Lunch

From a tasty sandwich or a warming bowl of home-made soup, to a range of delicious main courses and lunch specials. The best local ingredients, prepared with care and presented with flair.

Lunch is served from 12 noon until 2:30pm.

Sunday Lunch

Sundays are always special at The Bedford Hotel. Our full lunchtime menu is available, plus the added option of a traditional roast of the day, with all the trimmings. On selected Sundays, our Jazz Sunday Lunch is a real treat.

Afternoon tea

The Bedford Hotel is where the Devon Cream Tea was invented, so you can look forward to delicious, warm home-made scones with excellent local jam and clotted cream, served all day, every day. For a real teatime treat, relax and enjoy a traditional Full Afternoon Tea with dainty sandwiches, fresh scones and a tempting selection of cakes.

Breakfast

Whether you are staying at The Bedford Hotel or not, our breakfast is a great way to start the day. Help yourself to our cold buffet selection, then enjoy a hearty Full Devon Breakfast or something else from our hot selection, cooked to order.

Morning Coffee

Find a comfy seat in the bar or the elegant Russell Lounge, and enjoy a choice of barista coffees, teas and sweet treats - with the daily papers and fast free WiFi.

Jazz Sunday Lunch

Enjoy a delicious, traditional three-course Sunday Lunch at The Bedford Hotel, served with a generous helping of live jazz from our house jazz band, Desperate Measures.

Sunday Lunch is always special at The Bedford - the finest seasonal, Devon produce, prepared with care and presented in stylish yet relaxing surroundings.
