It's Cream Tea Week in Tavistock - the perfect excuse to join us for a teatime treat at The Bedford Hotel.
Our classic Devon Cream Tea is served all day every day, as always.
And just for Cream Tea Week, try our Limited Edition "Cheese & Marmite on Toast" cream tea featuring a toasted warm cheese scone, Curworth mature cheddar cheese, Dartmoor ale marmite butter, pickled walnut and worcestershire jam, frosted malt and watercress.
Both the classic cream tea and our limited edition scone come with your choice of tea or coffee.

Cream Tea Fete
The Cream Tea Fete on Sunday 28th June is the highlight of the week in Tavistock. Sponsored by Tavistock Town Council and Tavistock BID, it's set to be an afternoon full of family fun and cream tea treats.
Home of the Cream Tea
The Bedford Hotel is famously known as the birthplace of the Devon Cream Tea. In the 19th century, local workers restoring Tavistock Abbey (on this very site) were served bread with clotted cream and jam, a tradition that soon flourished. Today, The Bedford proudly continues this delicious Devonshire heritage.
