Choose from a four night Christmas Break arriving on Wednesday 23rd December, or a three night break arriving on Christmas Eve. Whichever break you choose, you'll enjoy a comfortable room, dinner each evening, a fabulously traditional Christmas Day Lunch, and our full Devon Breakfast each morning. 

When you're ready to stretch your legs, step outside and explore our beautiful market town of Tavistock, or head for the wide open space and wild majesty of Dartmoor National Park - it's right on our doorstep.

Christmas Break Highlights

Wednesday 23rd December

Those guests arriving today can look forward to our Festive Wine Tasting Dinner - a superb 4-course meal including a perfectly matched wine to accompany each course.

Christmas Eve

Start the day with our full Devon breakfast, and enjoy a little leisure time (or some very last minute Christmas shopping!) in our fine Devon town of Tavistock.

This evening we will welcome you with a selection of canapés served in our bar and lounge, in readiness for a memorable candlelit 4-course dinner showcasing some of the best local ingredients of the season. Our resident jazz band, Desperate Measures, will set the perfect mood for a magical Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day

A hearty breakfast is the perfect beginning to a day of festive indulgence - but make sure you leave room for our traditional 6-course Christmas Luncheon.

Enjoy a restful afternoon unwinding in our cosy lounge or bar, or take a stroll along the riverbank, and don't forget to join in the fun by guessing the weight of the cake for your chance to win a bottle of bubbly.

This evening, our fabulous West Country Table is served for your enjoyment, offering a relaxed and delicious supper, followed by a movie on the big screen (with popcorn and ice cream, naturally).

Boxing Day

After breakfast, there's a chance for those keen to stretch their legs to join local guide Simon Dell for a fascinating guided stroll around Tavistock.

Tonight you can look forward to our Gala Dinner, and our casino tables at the ready (just for fun!).

Saturday 27th December

Enjoy your breakfast, followed by a visit to our Walled Garden for a magnificent falconry display.  We will bid you a fond farewell, and hope to welcome you again soon!

Prices are per room, including meals and activities as described in our Christmas Programme. All aspects of the programme are subject to change. We are happy to take a provisional booking to hold your room, until 1/3/26. A deposit of £250 per room is payable from 1/3/26 in order to confirm your booking. The balance is payable by 30/11/26. All payments are non-refundable, so we suggest that you take out suitable travel insurance to provide you with cover in the event that you should need to cancel for any reason. Dogs are very welcome, in most rooms, and charged at £17 each per night.
